The Proscribe Ritual transforms the Target Circle of Power, allowing it to protect against a chosen Creature Type. Parts or an entire permanently dead body of the chosen Creature Type must be in the Circle of Power for the entire Ritual casting. No body or body part containing a Spirit will be able to be Proscribed and the body or body part must have been separated from its Spirit for no more than twenty-four hours.
Upon successful completion of the Ritual, an obelisk will form at the center of the Circle. The Obelisk doubles the diameter of the Circle, destroying and replacing it with a Proscribe Circle. There is no upper limit to the size of a Proscribe Circle. The Obelisk is unmovable and radiates the Proscribe Effect.
This Proscribe Effect prevents any of the chosen Creature Type from physically entering the Proscribe Circle. Until a character attempts to enter the Circle, in-game they cannot tell if the Circle has the Proscribed Effect or not. Although that chosen Creature Type may enter the Target Circle through other means (spirit walk, rifting, etc). If a member of the chosen Creature Type finds a way into the Proscribe Circle, there are no other ill effects, but should they leave the Circle, they may not re-enter.
The Ritual Caster is responsible for supplying a phys-rep for the obelisk. Although it is unknown in-game, the Proscribe Circle must be clearly marked and the Effect posted out-of- game; this is a visible effect though the Targeted Creature type is not revealed merely by observing the circle. In order to destroy the Proscribe Circle, one must Target the Obelisk.
This Ritual requires a minimum of 3 Reagents to cast. Any additional Reagents required by the Ritual should be of the same types as listed on the Ritual scroll.
This ritual can not be spellcrafted.
