The Poison Trigger Ritual allows the wielder of the Target Weapon to choose on which Weapon attack to activate a Poison coating, instead of it automatically invoking on the next Weapon attack. Once the wielder activates a Contact Poison, it is considered expended even if the wielder stops attacking for its effect before it lands or resolves. This affects any Contact Poisons applied to the Target Weapon.
